Client Portfolio
We’re proud of the work we do to ensure our client’s events are managed and delivered with the highest degree of service possible while also ensuring the long-term viability, growth and development of the event is foremost in mind.
Here are a few examples of this work in action:
Neural Control for Movement Society (NCM)
Association and Conference Management Services, Florida
With the NCM Society entering into its 20th year, De Armond Management works with NCM in offering their 400+ members greater association service and alternate approaches in the planning and delivery of their Annual Conference. Operating in a Secretariat capacity, De Armond delivers both association and conference management services on an annual basis.
To support membership growth, we provided NCM with an association website and online membership tool to engage with NCM members and encourage renewal and retention with greater convenience and benefit. With success of the latest NCM annual conference in South Florida, in April 2010, our online registration and abstract tools helped managed and permit 200+ conference registrations and 150+ abstract submissions.
De Armond continues to work diligently with the NCM Society through strategic project management, support services, conference planning and association management that provide NCM with continued growth and success for future years.
Pacific Seabird Group
1st World Seabird Conference, Victoria
Set to be hosted in Victoria, BC, the inaugural World Seabird Conference is expected to host upwards of 600+ seabird scientists and researchers in September of 2010. The Pacific Seabird Group hired our professional conference services to help facilitate and achieve their goal of putting seabird management and conservation on a worldwide perspective.
With this objective in mind, De Armond is working in conjunction with the Pacific Seabird Local Organizing Committee in the planning and delivery of this conference by providing a full suite of event management, conference website and merchant account services. To support conference delegates from over 30 potential countries, De Armond was poised to implement an online registration and abstract module to accommodate an international delegate congregation.
BC Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources
Oil and Gas Service Sector Tradeshow, Calgary
For this project we served as the overall event managers and facilitators, with primary responsibilities to solicit, contract and coordinate over 70 exhibitors, invite and register over 300 private participants, promote general attendance from related industry participants, coordinate a ministerial lunch for 300 people, collect and/or write the content for, and print, the event directory and prepare, deliver and summarize the event evaluations for three participant types (exhibitors, special invitees, general invitees). The work we did on the project provided the Ministry with the confidence needed to transfer this event to a newly established non-profit Association knowing we would continue to be the project managers.
Vancouver Island Health Authority and the Capital Regional District
Social Determinants of Health Forum
For this two-day event, we worked in conjunction with a planning team comprising representatives from a number of social support agencies to craft the program and the processes necessary to meet the conference objectives. We sourced the conference location, contracted service providers, coordinated meals, managed all logistical and planning aspects of the conference, hired and briefed professional facilitators, managed the registration of approximately 200 participants and coordinated the financial support and payments for those participants who qualified for assistance.
Pacific Sport Institute
Sport Innovation (SPIN) Summit
The inaugural Canadian sport technology and sport performance conference brought together coaches and scientists to build knowledge, networks and tools for future sport success through technological and scientific advances. With the 2010 Olympics looming, the Sport Innovation Summit’s goal was to provide a cross fertilization of ideas and knowledge between these two groups to inspire them and encourage them to work together to identify and develop innovative approaches to enhance the sport performances of Canadian athletes.
The success of the conference is testimony to De Armond Management’s ability to skillfully develop a conference
from the ground up. From program development to communications to strategic planning, De Armond Management recognized and harnessed the potential that the SPIN Summit possessed, and now the conference has turned into an annual event.
